Cultivating the Future: Youth Engagement and Agricultural Mechanization in Pokhara
GONESA successfully completed a two-year initiative in Pokhara Metropolitan City supporting returnees, unemployed youths, and vulnerable families affected by COVID-19. The project contributed to immediate income generation, helping households stabilize their livelihoods and sustain family needs. It promoted job-oriented opportunities, encouraged youth engagement in productive activities, and supported smallholder farmers through agricultural mechanization, improving productivity and reducing labor burden. The initiative fostered environmentally responsible practices, aligning with a green economy approach. Overall, around 700 households benefited, strengthening resilience, enhancing economic security, and supporting sustainable livelihood recovery in the community.
